uGetFound helps local businesses get found on Google: we manage their Google Business Profile, build and host a page for them, and ask their customers for reviews. This page says what we collect, what we do with it, and how to make us stop.

Who we are

What we collect

From a business that signs up or asks about us: the business name, the owner's name, email address, phone number and website, and anything written in the enquiry form.
From a business's own customers, only when the business asks us to: a first name and a mobile number, so we can send one review request on the business's behalf.
From visitors to the pages we host: a first-party, cookieless count of page views, taps on the phone number and forms sent. No cookies are set, no advertising trackers run, and no raw IP address is stored. A visitor is counted once a day using a hash that cannot be linked across days.
From people who fill in a form on a page we host: the name, phone number, email address and message they typed, which goes to the business the page belongs to.

What we do with it

Run the service: set up and manage the business's Google Business Profile, build and host its page, and show the business its own numbers.
Contact the business about its account: a person from uGetFound calls or emails.
Send review requests to the business's customers, when the business asks us to (see Text messages below).
Bill the business. Card payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store a full card number.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with anyone except the providers we need to run the service: Google (the business's own profile), Stripe (payment), our email and text-message providers, and the hosting we run on.

Text messages

What we send. When a business using uGetFound asks us to, we send its customer a single text message asking for a Google review, with a link. We may also text a business owner about their own account, such as a link to answer questions about their page.

Consent. A customer receives a review request only because they did business with that company and gave it their mobile number. A business owner receives account texts because they signed up and gave us theirs. We do not send marketing texts, and we do not text people whose number we were not given for this purpose.

How often. One review request per visit, and account texts only when there is something to tell the owner. Message frequency varies with your activity.

To stop. Reply STOP to any message and you will receive no further texts from that number. Reply HELP for help, or contact us at the email or phone number above.

Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Mobile numbers and consent to text are not shared with third parties for their own marketing.

How long we keep it

Account details for as long as the business is a customer and for a reasonable period after, so we can answer questions about the account. Review-request numbers are kept only as long as needed to send the request and record that it was sent. Page statistics are kept as daily totals.

Your choices

Ask us what we hold about you or your business, or ask us to correct or delete it, at the contact details above.
Reply STOP to any text to opt out of texts.
A business can close its account at any time; we then stop managing its profile and hosting its page.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it and the current version is always at this address.
